About “Yumi”

Yumi is JHVinylShop’s fictional mascot, Brand Ambassador, and Featured Vinyl Showcase.

She was created to give JHVinylShop a recognizable personality and a consistent visual identity across the website, promotional artwork, featured albums, social media, and future marketing projects and was named on a whim after a USB Dual-Boot O/S PC Utility Application. An “Homage” to Softonic.

Yumi is not intended to be a different character every time she appears. She is developed as one continuous, recognizable identity.

Her role is not limited to one page or one type of artwork. She is designed to remain flexible while still preserving the same established identity.

Why Yumi Exists


JHVinylShop is intended to feel personal, distinctive, and connected to the culture of record collecting.

Yumi helps reinforce that identity by giving the shop a consistent visual representative. She adds personality to the brand without replacing the real people behind the business.
