Punk

Punk music is a genre characterized by its raw, energetic sound, fast-paced rhythms, and often political or rebellious lyrics. Emerging in the 1970s, punk sought to challenge the commercialized music industry and societal norms, embracing an DIY ethos and anti-establishment attitude. Punk bands often feature simple, driving guitar riffs, pounding drums, and shouted or sneered vocals, creating a frenetic and intense experience. Punk's diverse sub-genres, such as hardcore, pop-punk, and post-punk, have evolved over the years, but the genre's core spirit of rebellion and nonconformity remains a hallmark of punk culture.
