Human-readable design rules behind DAS-ACT-0001-Yumi.json

1. What this book is

This book defines Yumi, the fictional brand character of JHVinylShop. It is the prose companion to the machine-readable JSON spec and the Yumi Builder tool.

This DAS covers Yumi the person: her face, body, hair, skin, default wardrobe, jewelry, and pink teddy bear backpack. It does not define backgrounds, studio lighting rigs, camera lenses, or scene settings. You choose those per shot in the Builder or your own prompt.

Pose and expression are flexible. The canonical portrait is an identity anchor, not a command to copy the same standing smile every time.

2. Absolute Truth portrait

The primary identity reference is the Absolute Truth portrait render with accessories. If any text conflicts with that image for face or default look, the image wins.

Rule: Use reference photos for who she is, not as a composition to duplicate. Every new render should be a new photograph of the same woman.

3. Identity summary

She reads as a healthy young adult woman. Realistic human anatomy. Not anime, not exaggerated fashion-model proportions, not airbrushed plastic skin.

4. Face

Landmarks (LM registry)

Freckles and beauty marks must appear in portrait and close views. Expression may change; landmark positions do not.

5. Hair

Never: uniform black hair, platinum blonde with no dark roots, or a single ponytail instead of twin tails.

6. Skin

7. Default wardrobe (on-person)

Shirt (LM-020)

White close-fitting cropped crew-neck T-shirt with exposed midriff. Opaque white cotton. Centered chest logo: JHVinylShop in official red - one word, no spaces.

Jeans

Oversized low-rise wide-leg blue denim jeans, patterned fade, large frayed opening over right knee, heavy ankle stacking at boots. Thin black hip straps visible above jeans waistband on both hips (LM-031, LM-032).

Belt (LM-021, LM-022)

Black leather multi-grommet belt with metal buckle and hanging strap detail.

Boots (LM-024, LM-025)

Black leather platform combat boots, heavy lug sole, matte leather.

8. Jewelry and accessories

9. Teddy bear backpack (LM-030)

Black functional backpack worn on both shoulder straps. Attached plush: soft pastel pink teddy bear with friendly expression, black eyes, black ribbon at neck.

This is a signature identity asset for the default public look. Substituting another backpack or omitting the bear without intent is an identity continuity failure for canonical renders.

11. Expression range

Default when unspecified: broad genuine smile, visible upper teeth, friendly eye contact.

Yumi may also show: happiness, curiosity, surprise, determination, concern, thoughtfulness, playfulness. Expression deforms the existing face - it does not redefine anatomy, landmarks, or hairline.

See the official Facial Expression Set reference for approved range on the same identity.

12. Pose and body language

Default posture: upright, relaxed, balanced, natural - never rigid or mannequin-like.

Poses may vary freely: standing, sitting, leaning, walking, gesturing, three-quarter views, action poses. Hand gestures must stay anatomically plausible.

Turnaround reference images document proportions and accessory placement. They do not require copying the same studio stance.

14. Instant recognition checklist

15. Camera and photo look (flexible per shot)

Camera style, lens feel, color, grain, and who holds the camera are not part of Yumi's locked identity. Choose them per shot in the Yumi Builder under Camera & photo look.

Default: Match reference realism - lifelike photograph with natural skin texture, no beauty-filter smoothing. Use this when AI tools (e.g. Meta AI) produce overly smooth or plastic skin.

Other presets include modern DSLR, classic film 80mm, smartphone selfie, flip-phone vintage, Polaroid, and black and white. Custom notes are supported.

Photo look changes how the image was taken - not who Yumi is.

17. How to use the package

  1. Read this Design Book to understand Yumi.
  2. Open DAS-ACT-0001-Yumi.json for machine-readable rules.
  3. Open yumi-builder/index.html - 3-step wizard: (1) pick reference images and optional custom refs, (2) customize canonical inventory rows with Match / Gone / Instead plus pose, expression, scene, camera look, and Notes for AI, (3) ship the package.
  4. Attach all 8 official reference PNGs from reference_registry.json (or the full zip references/ folder). Ideal: every session. If your AI tool limits attachments, attach Critical refs first (portrait, front, detail panel, expression set), then add back, sides, and full body when possible.
  5. Download images first from Builder Step 3 (complete zip and/or contact sheet). Attach refs, replacement refs, and props as listed. Then copy or save the text package and paste after images are attached.
  6. Save good outputs. On the next shot, attach them in addition to the official refs. Use Step 1 custom refs, Step 2 Instead uploads, or Notes for AI to describe extra files.
  7. Reject outputs that fail the approval checklist. Regenerate if identity drifts (especially when the face was off-screen and returns).

Identity lock: All 8 official refs describe the same woman. Back and sides must match front outfit and hair. If the face is hidden then returns, it must still match the Absolute Truth portrait.
